Bandai Namco Is Giving Out Free Copies Of Code Vein If You Donate Blood

Bandai Namco will give you a free copy of Code Vein if you donate blood on the day of the game’s launch. There’s also a “promo blood kit” in the offing, although we’re not sure what that contains.

This news comes via the official Bandai Namco US Twitter account. A tweet sent out by Bandai Namco says that the Lost “aren’t the only ones who need your blood” and that the Code Vein launch date is the perfect time to donate blood to those in need. There’s also a link you can follow if you want to sign up to give blood. The blood drive is being held in conjunction with the American Red Cross and will go on from 10 am until 4 pm PST on September 27th during TwitchCon.

At the time of writing, the blood drive “is no longer available for online scheduling”. If you want more information about it, you’ll need to call the Red Cross via the organization’s telephone number. If you did manage to secure an online appointment, you’ll need to head to Gas Lamp Square, 170 Sixth Ave, San Diego, CA 92101. There, you’ll be able to donate your blood and receive your free Code Vein copy in return (the usual blood donation restrictions apply). We’re assuming you’ll be able to pick your platform.

Code Vein is an upcoming Soulslike hack and slash action RPG developed by Bandai Namco. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic dystopian world in which vampiric revenants battle over dwindling supplies of blood. You can check out a demo for the game right now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. No word on whether the demo is coming to PC. Since the game’s release is just three days away it’s unlikely.

Will you be heading to the San Diego blood drive? Are you looking forward to Code Vein? Let us know in the comments below!

Dark Souls changed my life, and I’m here to spread the good news. I like pretty much all sorts of games, but I judge everything by its proximity to our Lord and saviour, Dark Souls.
