Have you wanted a chance to step back into the first person wild west world of Call of Juarez? Well, it seems the series will be hitting up the Nintendo Switch soon.
The ESBR recently posted a listing for Call of Juarez: Gunslinger on the Nintendo Switch. The rating reaffirms the game is still rated M, showing that some ratings don’t change within 6 years. It mentions the amount of violence you can expect, with “realistic gunfire, cries of pain, slow-motion effects, and large splashes of blood, which sometimes stain the ground.” The description also mentions some light sexual content, with characters joking about a woman that sleeps around, and the use of quite a bit of swearing. Having played the game back when it came out, yep, that’s all there and it sounds like it’s not going anywhere.
This revelation comes almost exactly one year after Techland released an all-new mysterious trailer for Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. The trailer was framed as a message from Silas to Red Dead Redemption 2‘s main character Arthur Morgan, telling him that he’s a wild west legend and that his tale will likely be one of the greatest. Silas then comments that legends never die, and that “some come back stronger than ever,” something that implied Techland was working on a remaster for Gunslinger at the time. If they were referencing the Switch port or if they had something else in mind isn’t really known.
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is currently available on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. There is no word yet on when this Switch port will release.
