If you’re a fan of Axiom Verge, there’s some very good news — Axiom Verge 2 was just announced.
Developer Tom Happ has been sneakily and quietly working on a sequel to his hit indie game Axiom Verge. This Metroidvania-style game has a scientist named Trace working in a laboratory when he suddenly gets knocked out by an explosion. He awakens on an alien world, surrounded by enemies and blessed with the strange ability to respawn in some kind of machine shaped like an egg.
It’s certainly not a bad game as far as Metroidvanias go, and you’ll soon be able to play Axiom Verge 2 on the Nintendo Switch when it launches sometime in the Fall of 2020. In the meantime, you can check out the trailer in the tweet below.
You may think you already know the world of Axiom Verge. Think again.
