Google Stadia Receives Achievement System

Google Stadia was released into the wild land of gaming tech around a month ago, and since then its development has been slowly expanding its features and list of supported titles. The latest announcement revealed Google Stadia’s achievement system. The service’s official Twitter account shared a couple of images on how the achievements look, and the design’s first impression looks really clean and neat.

Of course, there were a couple of concerns and questions from Stadia users. First off is that users won’t be able to check their achievements via the Stadia app. The achievement system interface is only available through the web.

Another inquiry was regarding already completed achievements or will you have to play through your games again to unlock them and register the trophy? The development team confirmed the achievement system will come with the trophies you already accumulated during your playtime over the last month, and you won’t have to do go through it all over again.

Finally, a little inconvenience for streamers or even players who don’t like distractions, Google Stadia doesn’t offer the option to turn off the trophy notification popping up whenever you complete one in the respective game you are playing.

This is an exciting addition to the trophy hunters out there who like getting recognition from time to time for going out of their way and grinding it out. It also helps you keep track of how close you are to finishing a game 100% so you can close it out and move on to the next one. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is one of the noticeable additions coming to Googe Stadia this week, alongside Borderlands 3 and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, which offers enough content across these three titles for the next title reveal. What features do you think the Google Stadia is still missing?
