Humble Bundle Publishing Pokemon-Like MMO Temtem

[the_ad id=”19711″]

Ever since Pokemon was created, players have wondered what a living, massive open-world would look like for that type of game. Ever since Everquest and World of Warcraft took over computers people have added massively multiplayer to that wishlist, and while GameFreak doesn’t seem like it wants to deliver that, Temtem developer Crema has jumped on the fray.

With essentially that pitch, Crema raised over 573k on Kickstarter in 2018 and they’ve been working on the game and sharing updates with backers ever since. Today, they revealed the newest stage in their project – that they are partnering with Humble Bundle who will take on publishing duties – doing things that are outside of development like marketing, distributors, merchandising and more. Their plan on the partnership is that it will let them focus on development while Humble does those things where it excels and will bring the game to a bigger audience while leaving Crema in complete creative control.

Crema and Humble are teaming up and you can see Hamble and a Temtem here!

As part of the announcement, Crema has reopened pre-orders of Temtem for 24 hours. The reason for the limited access to the pre-order is quite simple: it also gives you alpha access to Temtem and they don’t want the game getting overloaded while they are still developing it. Preorders are available for these 24hours on Discord and Humble (which also redeems through Discord), with Discord being the only current distribution platform for the alpha for ease of management.

In Temtem, the titular creatures live in the world made up of six islands in the Airborne Archipelago alongside humans. They have lived in harmony alongside humans and accomplish a variety of tasks, while there is also a long tradition of taming wild Temtem. In the game. you’ll explore the world, endeavor to catch all the Temtem, battle other tamers, customize homes, and attempt to defeat all eight dojo leaders to be recognized as the ultimate Temtem tamer.

Temtem will be given a greater showing later today at the Humble Happy Hour at 2 PM Eastern later today, where it will be joined by other new announcements. Stay tuned to TechRaptor for more coverage of that later today!

Disclosure: Humble Bundle works with TechRaptor for affiliate partnership, and TechRaptor earns a small commission off purchases made from some links in this article.
