At Bethesda’s E3 2019 showcase, Ikumi Nakamura’s cheery introduction for GhostWire: Tokyo, the next project from Shinji Mikami’s Tango Gameworks, left an unforgettable impression on viewers. Now, after a career shakeup and a lot of traveling, Ikumi made an appearance at The Game Awards 2019 that has the internet talking once again.

Nakamura took the stage to present the award for best art direction at The Game Awards and her infectious joy was in full effect. Before announcing the winner for the category, Nakamura acknowledged that she had a wild 2019—and that it’s a-ok if you did too.

In September, Nakamura announced that she was leaving Tango Gameworks. Since then, she’s been popping up at game studios all over the world, but we still don’t know where she’s going next.

One thing we pretty sure of is that she’s not opposed to a bit of good trolling. In October, she helped PlatinumGames’ Hideki Kamiya get the internet in a tizzy over the idea of an Okami sequel… but Kamiya’s faked-out fans in the past, so perhaps the duo saw an opportunity for a gag and took it.

Oh yeah, and Control won the award for best art direction. Hooray Control!
