Jackbox Party Pack 6 Release Date Announced for October

[ad_1]

Jackbox Games, creators of You Don’t Know Jack and Fibbage, have finally announced the release date for their upcoming Jackbox Party Pack 6. The Jackbox Party Packs are collections of around 5 mobile-enabled party games. Last year their release of The Jackbox Party Pack 5 was particularly strong, even if Zeeple Zone was a miss.

These collections have traditionally come with some new additions as well as so returning classics and this collection is no different. A returning game is Trivia Murder Party 2, this is a 1-8 player game that has players facing off in trivia. Those who fail to answer correctly will have to survive minigames. The last man standing will get to race for the finish line giving the other players a chance to catch up.

The new games in the collection are Role Models, Joke Boat, Dictionarium, and Push the Button.

  • Role Models has you comparing your friends to different movies, music, objects as a way to discern their personality type.
  • Joke Boat involves everyone coming up with one-liners.
  • In Dictionarium players are challenged to come up with definitions for words.
  • Push the Button pits players against one another as there are aliens among the group getting slightly different responses on their screens. Use your deductive powers to single out the traitors to win.

If you want to learn more about the game a few YouTubers have had a chance to play these games recently including Smosh Games and Achievement Hunter,

Just like previous Jackbox games each of these are played via a cellphone or other browser-enabled device. This means that you don’t need to worry about all 8 players having a controller. For those who want to host or join in games online, there are also a number of settings in place that allow the game to be more streamer friendly.

Jackbox Party Pack 6 will be released on Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Apple TV and Ipad, Amazon Fire TV, Humble Store, Fanatical, Epic Games Launcher, Comcast Xfinity, Mac App Store, and Android TV on October 17th 2019. If you want to find any of these purchase links or learn more about the games then you can also head to their official website.

I have been playing all kinds of games for as long as I can remember with a particular interest in action adventure and platforming titles. While I am primarily an Xbox gamer I also spend a fair bit of time on the PS4 and on my PC in VR.
