After a long wait and delays, the crowdfunded title Indivisible by Skullgirls developer Lab Zero finally gets a definitive release date. You won’t have to wait very long to get your hands on this anticipated RPG, because it’s coming out in October 2019. A gameplay trailer, found below, accompanies this announcement.
Today, Lab Zero and publisher 505 Games announced that Indivisible releases on October 8th, 2019 in North America, and globally on October 11th . As of today, you can also pre-order Indivisible on Steam, with PS4 and Xbox One pre-orders available soon.
Those who pre-order Indivisible on Steam receive several digital cosmetic goodies, including a Valve-themed character skin pack. The skins are themed after Half-Life, Portal, and Team Fortress. Apparently, there’s a Companion Cube to be found somewhere, too. Other content includes more character skins and the main character’s pet tapir named Roti, who will follow you around.
Here’s the Steam page description for Indivisible:
Indivisible is a hand drawn action RPG platformer from Lab Zero, creators of the critically acclaimed Skullgirls! Set in a huge fantasy world, Indivisible tells the story of Ajna, a fearless girl with a rebellious streak who sets out on a quest to save everything she knows from being destroyed.
Indivisible is the product of a crowdfunding campaign held on Indiegogo in 2015. With over 32 thousand backers, the campaign raised a final funding total of over 2.2 million dollars.
Although Indivisible missed its initial estimated launch in January 2018, backers and fans alike can rest assured that they’ll be able to play the game soon on October 8th, 2019.
It feels like we’ve been hearing about Indivisible forever now, and it’s been four years, after all. I am very excited to see the project come into fruition, and I’ll definitely be picking it up in October. The gameplay looks really good, but what draws me in are the hand-drawn visuals and animations. Really, the quality of the art alone seems worth it to me.
