The peaceful sandbox game Alchemy Garden has announced that it’s making its way to Steam Early Access. In addition, the developer has released a new trailer that shows off some features that we can expect to see in this upcoming release and released a demo.
From Alchemy Garden to Potion Store
This game by MadSushi and Metaboli Publishing has a pretty simple premise. You have a garden and you know how to do alchemy. Putting one and one together, you decide to grow plants in order to make potions and eventually sell them.
As this is a sandbox game, players will have a fair bit of freedom in designing their garden. Plop down plants and trees wherever you like and spruce up the general area with a variety of decorations! Of course, you’ll need to find these plants in the first place before you can put them in your garden, so you’ll have to head out into the wider world in search of these valuable items so that you can make the most potent of potions.
Once the brewing is done, you’ll be able to open up your shop and sell your goods to customers. As you bring in the money, you’ll be able to buy better houses, upgrade your tools, and generally do that whole super satisfying crafting game loop.
Alchemy Garden will be making its way to Steam sometime soon; for now, you can add it to your wishlist. If you don’t want to wait, there’s a free demo available for anyone to play on Itch.io, although it doesn’t quite have all of the new content that will be made available for the Steam version of the game. The demo will also be coming to Steam in the near future. You can also take a look at the Early Access trailer below.
