Stranded Sails Finding Their Way to PC and Consoles Soon

Are you ready to no longer be stranded? Good news then, as Stranded Sails – Explorers of the Cursed Islands will be launching on PC and consoles quite soon.

Billing itself as The Legend of Zelda meets Stardew Valley, Stranded Sails is an adventure/life simulation hybrid game where you need to explore islands while running a farm and keeping yourself fed after a trip with your father leaves you stranded on the island. Thankfully you at least have some of your father’s crew with you, and the group has to work together if they have any hope of surviving. You’ll have to farm, cook, craft, and explore both the island you’re on and some of the neighboring islands for the materials you’ll need to get out alive. Of course, there are also threats on the island that you’ll need to defend yourself from.

It isn’t a deserted island without a bit of ghosts. Pirate ghosts if we’re going to be specific. Hidden inside the caves and requiring you to seek them out, the ghosts will attack you and you’ll need to make weapons to fight back. Interestingly, you don’t have a health bar. Instead, you have a stamina bar that all actions in the game are tied to. You can recover stamina by eating and lose it by doing, well… anything else. Get hurt? Run around? Jump? All of this requires stamina, so you better always have some food ready just in case.

Stranded Sails – Explorers of the Cursed Islands will be launching on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on October 17th. If you’d like to know more about the game you can read our preview here.
