Two very recognizable developers seem to be announcing a new venture together. Suda51 and Swery65 will appear together to livestream “Travis Monday Nightro 2” tomorrow, and in the process, reportedly discuss their “secret project.”
Teased by IGN Japan, who is hosting the stream, it seems like Suda and Swery have teamed up to work on something new together. It’s likely this is a game, though with the two creators involved, it’s not outside the realm of possibility that they expand into other media for a collaboration.
Goichi Suda, or “Suda51,” is known for his work on the No More Heroes series, as well as stylish games like The Silver Case, killer7, and Flower. He’s presumably working on the third No More Heroes game, currently slated for 2020 on the Nintendo Switch.
Hidetaka Suehiro, or “Swery65,” has worked on his own share of stylish, odd games, like Deadly Premonition, D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die, and The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories. Swery is currently writing and directing The Good Life, a cute murder-mystery that was funded through Kickstarter.
We’ll know more when the livestream goes up, but a collab between these two well-known developers, each with their own flair for style and offbeat mechanics, should be interesting. Also, I’m curious as to what Travis Monday Nightro 2 even is? We’ll find out soon, I suppose.
