It’s time to begin again, and again, and again. The Groundhog Day-style space adventure Outer Wilds is making its way to PS4 on October 15, so you too can experience the end of the universe, and what comes after.
Outer Wilds is about a lone adventurer exploring a wild, sometimes whimsical solar system. But you’ll soon realize that things aren’t exactly what they seem; death isn’t permanent, and there is something amiss. By discovering ancient ruins, deciphering lost texts, or just plunging yourself headfirst into the wild unknown, you can figure out what’s going on, and maybe how to stop it.
The unbridled moments of discovery, lovely soundtrack, and excellent world of Outer Wilds left a pretty lasting impression on those who have already played it, on either PC or Xbox One. Now, PS4 owners can get in on it too, and learn all the ins-and-outs of exploring space in a ramshackle ship. Tip: remember your helmet.
While the joy of Outer Wilds is largely in discovering everything at your own pace, it has a few sections that can get a bit tricky, especially when you’re waiting out a certain point in the “timeline” to progress. When you do get stuck, head over to our walkthrough to the mysteries of Outer Wilds and we can help get you back on track.
