Torchlight Is Free On The Epic Games Store July 11th, Overcooked Free Now

The next free Epic Games Store title has been announced. Starting July 11th, you’ll be able to grab Diablo-style action RPG Torchlight for absolutely nothing. You’ve also got until July 11th to get your free copy of Overcooked.

If you’re on the lookout for a frantic local co-op game, you could do a lot worse than Overcooked. You take on the role of a chef working alongside other chefs to deliver as many dishes as possible within a time limit. Completing dishes correctly will earn you coins. If you don’t serve a dish properly, you won’t lose points but you will lose time. Overcooked boasts around 28 kitchens in its campaign as well as a final boss stage. If you download it from the Epic Games Store before July 11th, it’s yours to keep.

After that date, you’ll be able to download dungeon crawler Torchlight. You are an adventurer who comes to the titular town in search of the magical resource known as Ember. Obviously, Ember isn’t quite what it seems. You must explore a series of randomly-generated dungeons, dispatching enemies and gathering a metric butt-ton of loot along the way. If you’re into games like Diablo and Path of Exile and you haven’t tried Torchlight yet, you’ll love it.

Epic is giving away a free game every week until the end of 2019. All you need to do if you want your free games is to head over to the Epic Games Store and create yourself an account. Once you’ve got one, simply download the launcher and grab your game. That’s it – no fuss, no mess. We’re not sure what the next game after Torchlight will be, but with the past examples like Overcooked, Oxenfree, and Slime Rancher, it’s bound to be a pretty decent catch.

What game would you like to see up for grabs on the Epic Store? Let us know in the comments below!

Dark Souls changed my life, and I’m here to spread the good news. I like pretty much all sorts of games, but I judge everything by its proximity to our Lord and saviour, Dark Souls.
