Upcoming vampire action RPG Code Vein will be getting a playable demo for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in September. We don’t yet know whether the game will also be playable in demo form on PC.

The news came as part of a new trailer uploaded to the official Bandai Namco YouTube account. The trailer shows off some of Code Vein‘s combat and boss fights as well as granting a look at the game’s co-operative multiplayer. Near its end, the trailer states that a demo for Code Vein will be made available on September 3rd for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. You can check out the trailer for yourself below:

In the trailer’s YouTube description, Bandai Namco says the demo will be available “starting September 3rd” on consoles. This could well mean that a PC demo will be available to gamers at a later date. The video’s title is “Demo Announcement Trailer – PS4/XB1/PC”, so it’s likely PC players won’t have too long to wait for a demo. That said, there are only 24 days between the demo’s console release date and the full launch of Code Vein. Hopefully, PC players will get a chance to experience the game before then.

Code Vein is an RPG set in a dystopian open world environment and developed by Bandai Namco Studios. The gameplay is heavily inspired by From Software’s Souls series, on which Bandai Namco Entertainment has served as a publisher. As a member of the Vein society, you must use your vampiric gifts to discover your past and survive the hostile world in which you’re living. The game will launch on September 27th worldwide for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. We’ll bring you more on a possible PC demo for the game as soon as we get it.

Dark Souls changed my life, and I’m here to spread the good news. I like pretty much all sorts of games, but I judge everything by its proximity to our Lord and saviour, Dark Souls.
